Media Training Workshops

Remember: it’s just as much your interview as it is the reporter’s.

You could simply go into an interview and answer questions. Or you could go into the interview with set goals that will advance your business.

Our media training workshops break down actionable strategies so you can make the most of press interviews, board presentations or other public speaking opportunities.

By the end of our session, you’ll have the strategy and confidence to handle any interview or presentation.

In our two-hour live, virtual workshop, you’ll learn:

Our one-on-one 90-minute virtual session can be completed after the Masterclass or independently. This is flexibly scheduled to suit your calendar.

How it works:

  • complete a questionnaire outlining your goals and company details

  • we will meet to lead you through our media training content, completely customized to your needs or specific interview opportunity

  • participate in a mock interview to test your skills on the spot

FAQs

We’ve got answers.

What is media training?

As an athlete trains for games, business leaders often must train for media interviews. Think of media training as the lessons and drills that hone your communication skills, allowing you to feel controlled enough in interviews to hit key message points, redirect hard-hitting questions and be clear on your goals for resulting press coverage. Media training often includes mock interviews, elocution tricks and coaching on the handling of sensitive information.

Why do I need media training?

Whether you’re a novice or seasoned when it comes to handling the press, proper media training empowers you to feel confident in interviews - and to make the most of the opportunity to share your story. Your well-executed media performance can help drive sales and brand awareness, prompt additional interview requests, develop a positive brand image or gracefully address challenging issues.

Which course should I take? One or both?

That’s up to you! Our Media Training Masterclass is a two-hour live, virtual workshop, where our team reviews our curriculum with a small group of attendees. It’s interactive, so you’ll be able to ask specific questions.

The Media Training One-On-One is a private virtual workshop, reviewing the same curriculum but customized to your needs. This workshop also includes a mock interview, so you can hone your skills.

We recommend our Masterclass for everyone. The One-On-One can be taken on its own or as a follow-up to the Masterclass. The One-On-One is of particular benefit if you want to dig in further on a specific opportunity or challenge.
